What is Thermal Reconditioning?
Thermal Reconditioning is a revolutionary Japanese treatment that straightens frizzy, curly or wavy hair, while improving the overall health of the hair. The treatment leaves you with glossy, smooth, shiny straight hair that requires hardly any blow drying. It has been featured in various fashion magazines, as well as The New York Times and NBC's Today Show, and most recently appeared on ABC's "The View."

How does this process actually work?
Protein and chemical solutions are applied to your hair. The heat from the iron then restructures your hair's cuticle, causing it to straighten. The solutions have a built-in conditioner and the heating actually seals it in, adding shine and protecting your hair from any damage.

How long does the process take?
It takes normally between 3 to 4 hours.

Will I still need to blow-dry my hair after the treatment?
Sometimes yes, but just to get the moisture out. This usually takes about 4 to 5 minutes. Some people will not even need to blow-dry at all.

When I get the new growth retreated, do they have to do all the hair again?
Only the roots will be touched up. Although the stylist may pull the solution through the entire hair before rinsing, this will not cause damage.

What if I have processed hair?
This service can be performed on color or highlighted hair. The only exception is hair that has had prior chemical relaxing.

How much does Thermal Reconditioning cost?
It starts at $400 and goes up, depending on the length and texture of your hair.
